2007 XLR-V
I just purchased a 2007 XLR-V. It has 42k miles and is completely stock. The exhaust baffles are not closing. I'm waiting on a Tech2 to diagnose the problem. Looks like it is either the solenoid or the control module.
I was looking at parts availability and noticed the module is unavailable. I found several exhaust modules available for the Corvette. The modules look identical to the XLR-V units. They have a different part number however. Does anyone know if they will interchange?

I’ve fixed mine a couple of times. I would say first thing to check is if you have 5volts on gray wire on the small connector on the module with the car running. It has 1or 2 wires in it. If you have 5volts then the module is good. If not then check fuse, or is there a mild to wild module added(after market wireless device to open valves. Or a manual switch wired in) module likely problem. (I’ve never had a bad module).
Otherwise check vacuum under right rear bumper. Vacuum comes from drivers side rear of engine, down tunnel on right. Up over front of trans and along rear frame on passenger side. (I’ve had two instances where vacuum line failed). Behind pass rear wheel is a vacuum accumulator and a vacuum valve controlled by the 5 volts from the module. (I’ve had a valve go bad) Vacuum then goes to muffler valves. (I’ve had one of them go bad).
Tech 2 isn’t a lot of help. It can turn on and off but a simple meter will get you a lot further along.

Reply with what you find.

I tested voltage at the solenoid connector with the car off it was 0V with car on it was 12v. I connected the engine vacuum line directly to the exhaust valves and they closed. I pulled the solenoid and tested with a 12v battery, nothing. Ordered a new solenoid. Spent $61 on Amazon for a GM replacement. After I bought it I found what I think is the exact part. https://www.amazon.com/Vacuum-Pressure-Control-Valve-11747810831/dp/B07HDTFZFC
only $18
