2006 XLR
Hello, purchased a one owner 2006 Base XLR a few weeks ago and have decided to go with an aftermarket wheel/tire package. The wheels I'm looking at currently are 19"x8.5" with a +52mm offset. Suggested tire size is a 255/40ZR19. Have read a few blogs associated with this topic but have not found any information on this tire/wheel size combination. Just wanting to know if this combination will work on the base car without rubbing the inside of the tire when turning the vehicle? Also, would moving up to 19" wheels/tires throw off the speedometer? Appreciate any feedback.

Thank you for the advice. Any further advice on a vendor to use for the wheels/tires? Have looked at a few vendors, including Tire Rack. They recommend the stock 18's or 19's for the installation. Would like to run 20's but want to make sure I make the correct choice before moving forward. Really appreciate you providing the information.

I dont use anyone in particular. There are some good tire visualization sites so you can add diffetent sizes and see where they grow and compare with whats on the car. Its going to depend on the offset xlr is unique. I run some bmw wheels on mine from time to time.
