    Help! Catalytic converter replacement

Wow, your mechanic sounds like a dealership service writer. Yes, you can get the manifolds out without removing the engine - I've done a few times. To save yourself some money, you can have someone with HP Tuners turn off the rear sensors, then get a skilled exhaust specialist to cut a...

KUDOS TO TIM!!! PJ & I had a great time. Sorry I wasn't feeling well yesterday afternoon. Thought dinner would help (thanks Cuby for leading the way), but I just needed to take something and go to sleep. Here's a couple pics I took. And for those that were there... the pics of your...

    Do you see XLRs??

Yes, ELWOOD is dyslexic on the rear badges.

Help! All C6 suspension parts are direct replacement parts for the XLR.

Yeah that thread pretty much covers most options. The Hotchkis adjustables is probably the safest bet - and you can make changes to suit your driving style and comfort. Mixing and matching is a bit of an art, I started out with Z06 everything, but the balance was still off. I knew I needed...

    March 2015 Texas Mile Results

Speed limiter, Not a chance. With those numbers you should be good for 125-130, though. 394 is great for stock, mine was 364RWHP stock. If you're considering the intake get it and then tune. A tune on the stock motor won't gain you much.

    Supercharger coolant system question

Wow, lots to discuss here. Let me preface my reply by stating my charge coolant system hasn't been stock for a number of years so my replies are based on memory. First the charge coolant system is a closed system, i.e., there is no connection of it to the engine coolant system. I know this...

    base model tuner ?

When it comes to tuning, I don't think a "Cadillac Specialist" exists - they'd be broke. All the above, other than Lund, are primarily LS Tuners who have some experience with NorthStars. Your Corvette tuner may well be up to the challenge. I watched a local reputable Corvette tuner struggle...

    March 2015 Texas Mile Results

No I didn't go back this time. I was planning to wait till October. But there were two XLRs in the field last month. Don't worry ONALASKA, the Team ELWOOD records are still safe - for both of us. :chuckle Here is the email I received from Jessica:

    Help! Transaxle fluid replacement

Hopefully CClarke or someone else will chime in and help with instructions. I thought about doing this a few years ago, looked it up in my manual, and decided $160 at the dealership was cheap. There is no drain plug. There is no fill tube. The gear oil is a special mixture from the OEM. The...

    Tow Hooks and Black Bag

My 06 V didn't come with any tow hook mounts, so I had one fabbed for the front (there's plenty of places to wrap a strap on the rear and I wanted to finish my rear diffuser before I added yet another obstruction back there). You're right the SMC one is designed to be welded on, but I can't...

    Tow Hooks and Black Bag

Good news and bad news. The good news is the tow hook part number is also used on the C7 Corvette. So GM will be sourcing the parts for quite some time. The bad news is currently the part is on backorder across the nation. (Thank GOD I already have mine) Any Cadillac or Chevrolet...
