I tried three different HX intercooler (I think one might have been off a CTS-V) and none of them made a significant difference . Replacing the pump with a high volume high flow pump helped much more.
Why bother with cut-outs on a V when all you need is a "Mild to Wild" mod installed. The V came stalwart with muffler bypass that vacuum controlled by the PCM. The mild to wild switch just leaves the bypass open regardless.
Now if you really want a growl either way, check out the Billy Boat...
Elwood
My V now has 140K+ and I'be beat on it since 30K. Still runs great.
I did change out the transmission for racing the standing mile (original Tranny couldn't take 500+RWHP at full throttle in 5th and 6th). My "Super 6L80" from Century Transmissions is rated for 800HP, has land speed...
Headers are pretty much impossible to find and don't add much without CAI, pulley, X-Pipe, and a real good dyno tune.CAI and exhaust options are readily available off the shelf. A pulley swap will likely require additional cooling?
Careful what you ask for... ELWOOD is prowling the streets and byways of Social this month. You might even see us at the Malibu Cars and Coffee on the 26th.

Here's my research data and results for suspension mods. I assume the Z51s all around on our cars is still gonna have a good bit of understeer.
Suspension Data for Possible Upgrade
Couple things... although Carroll Customs is my namesake, I don'the consider him the best (just my humble opinion as a current Cadillac Eldorado moderator on another forum ) Another alternative is Northstar Performance out of Canada, but he stays pretty busy this time of year.
About the dyno...
That repair kit is going to cost you a tire, a TPMS sensor, and possibly a wheel. The goop in the can of "fix-a-flat" will destroy a TPMS sensor. And I was recently told by my tire supplier that most tire shops won't touch a tire with "fix-a-flat" goop in it. My guy won't even dismount a tire...
Arkansas Mile
Its been a while since I updated this post. Between working on the bus and attending local car shows, I haven't had much computer time. Oh yeah I forgot about the April road trip to the NoFlyZone Midwest side-by-side 1/2 mile racing event. To make up for it I'll reshare an...
Highly recommend them!! They're the guys who did my ELWOOD Emblem.
Our first draft that I thought was too busy. They worked with me very patiently covering every aspect of the design - size, font, colors, placement, etc., etc. Great customer service, excellent product.
I was doing this so much last year while racing 2 or 3 times a month, I had to go ahead and get my own tool. Since I like trolling eBay I found an ATEQ VT5 for $49.99 and pounced on it. (they're normally $80 or more)
Works great so I keep it on the shelf below my 2 sets of racing...
Some of us do, but I wouldn't recommend a muffler delete just because while adding volume to the exhaust note it will cost you in lost power and fuel efficiency.
The emblem represents the performance oriented variants of the three models, oops, now 4. There is a specific criteria a Caddy must meet to truly be considered a "V Series":
Most dealership service advisors will do it for free if you ask them nicely. My dealership does mine 4 or 5 times a year - no cost. Usually takes them longer to find the tool than to reprogram the sensors.
