I found the bracket, still in plastic. Pennsylvania doesnt require front plates. Now can anyone tell us if a 2009 bracket will fit a 2008 model year. The part number of the plate is SKU17963 dated May 6, 2008

the stripping that the local cadillac dealer uses is tape I'll get a pic of one today

local Cadillac dealer puts them on most of their CTS and STS's Its a dealer option. The stripe begins at the front of the vehicle then about mid way through the rear quarter panel it has the script"Cadillac" logo then a short stripe to the end of the vehicle...

Does anyone have a pinstrip on their XLR..I see that there are some with the "Cadillac " script logo on the rear fender in with the stripping.

Is there a way to partially open the trunk deck lid or at least control the opening of the lid i.e. half way or so. In some cases I have a situation where the ceiling height is low and if the automatic buttons are used the lid will hit some tracking which is attached to the ceiling, damaging...

I too purchased mine off of Ebay, and through a Cadillac dealer in Minnesota. The car was advertised as used with 174 miles on the odometer. The dealer settled for $30,000 off the sticker price. After all the XLR was used :chuckle:lol:. Dealer even shipped it to Pittsburgh on a car hauler for me...

My 2009 Platinum has a wood sectioned steering wheel and is also heated with the control on the left side the radio controls on the right side I may add that the top wooded section is not heated, just the leather wrapped portion of the steering wheel.
