2006 XLR-V

Newly acquired XLR-V as a few of what I'll describe as minor/small glitches. Perhaps someone might be familiar with one or all of them and might offer some suggested fixes. Thank you for any and all assistance. Listed in order of relative importance to me:
1) Lighting if shift quadrant/gear selector inoperative.
2) CD player will not accept discs. DVD operational
3) Home Link will not program for random code Genie Garage Door (Home link works with 2024 Cadillac Lyriq and 2020 C8)

If I understand you correctly the lights on the center console don't work, it could be the wire connector under the console. When my CD player locked up I had to replace the entire CD changer. As for the Home Link, I got mine to work just following the directions in the owners manual, I know I had to press a button on the garage door opener while I was programing the Home Link. Good luck.

One clarification for the garage door opener, the button I had to press was on the motor drive unit that was mounted on the garage ceiling.

I was told by the guy that installed my garage door opener that Home Link in my 08 would not work. I have to use the garage door opener remote. It should work if you have an older garage door opener.

They only list 07+ but the instructions worked for my 06. After you input your car it asks for the manufacturer of your garage door opener er and then provides specific instructions.
