Hey - theses are the exact coil overs now on my 2008 XRLV...they also sell the little inserts to fool the system and not throwing a suspension code. These are worth every penny. Along with Hodgskis swaybars...transformed the car...
Hello,
I have all four cadillac XLRV oem mag ride shocks I pulled off my 2008 XLRV as I installed coil over shocks a few years ago.
Also full set of XLRV calipers and rotors with only 24k miles on them as I installed a full wilwood set a few years ago
Let me know if anyone is interested...
Hello,
I pulled out the entire mag ride shocks and fiberglass support mechanism out of my 08 XLRV and installed coil overs for a C6 corvette. Purchased the small mag shock delete inserts...no issue for the last 6 years. I lowered the car about 1.5" with the coilovers. Added larger sway bars...
I know exactly what you mean...lol. I also have a local company that exclusively supplies bearings of all types. So I hope the XLR GODS are with me to help solve this one...lol
I keep you informed.
Have a great weekend!

Just remember the factory used very strong locktight on top of the OEM MAG drive shocks. You will have to use a small soldering torch to heat the top of the shock tower where the nut is to loosen the locktight.
These were pretty simple to install just had to crank down the thread unit quit a bit. But I love them..

Well I installed coil overs and pulled the mag ride. Installed "mag ride delete" kit for a C6 corvette.
Hotchkis sway bars. What a difference !! no issues with the delete kit...just do a google search.
Took it to the next step - pulled the OEM brake system and installed a Wilwood kit with...
Hello All,
I am in need of the belt tensioner for my XLRV - located generally on the top front of the motor. Specific to the XLRV and STSV only.
Please contact me if you have one for sale or where I may find a used one.

Better late than never....really simple fix...just look online for corvette c6 mag-ride delete inserts. Take the plug from the top of the stack magshock and this unit plugs into that...have them on my XLRV as I installed coilovers three years ago...no issues...the deleted are about $200 I think.
