The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

A customer may comment that when their navigation system says they are arriving at their destination, it says and displays on the map that this destination is on the opposite side of the road from its physical location. The customer or dealer may have compared with other vehicles and found that like vehicles operate in this way and other non-similar model vehicles may or may not define the destination location accurately. The results of comparison with other GM product is dependent on which navigation system any given vehicle has in it. The PI only applies to the models listed.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Make no repair attempts for this issue. The supplier has reviewed this concern and determined it will only occur in the area of Lampasas, TX. This was due to a mapping error that will be corrected in future model year vehicles. No parts should be swapped or replaced for this concern.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
