The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Condition/Concern:
Some customers may state that the folding top will quit working in mid travel or the folding top will not fully latch in the stowed position (retracted in trunk) which may result in a Top Not Secure message on the DIC. This condition may / may not be followed by a current or history code: B1310 stored in the folding top module. This concern may be caused by a sticking top closed limit switch. The switch can be monitored for proper operation by accessing the roof data with the Tech 2 and checking the top closed limit switch parameter. With the top fully closed, the parameter will read on. With the top removed from the front header, the parameter will read off.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the switch is always reading on, check the folding top closed limit switch for a sticking condition. Remove the right side header pin receiver and carefully remove the micro switch. If the contact arm is touching the plunger of the micro switch, carefully bend the contact arm so that there is 1-2 mm clearance between the contact arm and the plunger. Re-install the switch and recheck folding top operation.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
