    X was a hit

Leinda straightened me out. Camden had a crown and a scepter but she said his title was Little Mr. Smithville. :chuckle Smithville has an Oktoberfest each year. Anyone that wants there tractor, or old car or their dog in the parade, this is your chance.

Rendezvous IV - San Antonio, TX - May 20-24, 2009

IV I have been watching and reading from afar and have reserved a room for Leinda and I but we can't commit until later, but if things work out in our favor we will have the room. Still iffy for us. In short, lots of things going on for us. Hope we can make it.

    Nav system

OK, thanks Cad. that's what I thought. I have been working with an IT guy in Cali. that has developed a device that will display a radar detectors info on the HUD. He has done this in a Vette but the XLR is different so he doesn't think he can write the program to make it happen. Be nice to get...

Does the Navigation system on the X display on the HUD? Like the turn by turn in the street mode?

    HUD & Radar Detector

Has anyone been able to integrate a radar detector into the HUD? I have a Valentine 1 with a optional concealed display. Which is a small compact display of the V1. Would really like it in the HUD instead of on the dash or hanging from the windshield. :dunno:

XLR and V's selling like hot cakes

Selling XLR's A dealer in KCMO that had two used XLR's has sold them. And another dealer that had an 09, it's gone. Don't know it it was sold or traded. If anything, this action by GM has spurred renewed interest. Limited now. Anyone that knows I own my X has said I should hold on to it. I told...

    E&G Grille or ?

Grill Yep, I like the mesh grill also. I like the looks of it. Cadillac should have put it on all of the X's out of the factory. They just missed the boat. Yet GM put's the mesh grill on much cheaper models. Go figure. :(

    She's home!! 2009 XLR-V (pics)

Nice It's a really nice car. You will enjoy it more than the Vette. It's the only way I could find to make me, a 57 year old turd, to be instantly cool! LOL :)

    Wife

My wife said that since I had the XLR, that she wanted something that went from 0 to 160 in 3 seconds............So I bought her a scale..... that's when the fight started. :dunno:

    News: GM will end XLR

The X I didn't buy the X to be an investment. Or any car for that matter. To me the X is something that very few people have. I like the looks and the uniqueness of the car. This news has no effect on how I feel about owning it.

    WOOD!

Yeah, that's what I would suggest also RA. This wood kit is not for everyone. I did it because my metal finish inside was not good. It had dents, but not now.
