Gotcha, Not sure what 20 is, but 18 you'd think would be able to get cheap, maybe 50-60 for the pair. As far as the tips, I personally dont like those ones, and If I did an aftermarket exhaust, I'd rather have the four tips out the middle rear.
I've been wanting to do the rear bumper swap ever since I did the front conversion. I just dont want to spend 8-900 for a new bumper that still needs to be painted. Been looking for deals forever, and nothing is popping up. It should be an easy bolt on affair, of course with small exhaust work...
Yeah, stock it isn't anything to brag about, but I'm really considering the corsa, sounds great! I took my XLR to Minnesota for carcraft where I put it on the dyno among other things:
The dyno the car ran 236 rwhp w/ 241 rwtq (stock performance wise besides some K&N filters)...
Someone needs to through up a video with the sound of the corsa, heard good things about it, and wouldnt mind putting it on mine as well. What kind of price is it running btw?
Just lost out on a deal on a new motor I've been drooling over for the past week. The auction ended while I was on the flight to southern japan for our training exercises in response to north korea. So mad right now, the motor went dirt cheap, so I'm trying to get ahold of the builder to work...
Although I dont remember everything in mine, it was filled with suitcases and plenty more. I did my trip from Mayport, FL to Anoka, MN. Right at a 24 hour straight drive, so I feel your pain on the long drive in those seats. The car never missed a beat though and I never had any issues except...
Would also like to add, once I did the switch, I got a check engine light. Went to the dealership and they pulled up a code saying "too much air entering engine compartment"... lol, "remove aftermarket grille". So I removed the lower wind deflector, and have never gotten the light again, and she...
The '09 bumper fits directly inplace of the '05 bumper. It takes a few parts to do it, but I think its well worth the end result. My ACC worked with the '05 bumper, and I had it placed directly behind a "v-series" logo on the lower grille, STILL WORKS! Keep in mind you'll have to paint the...
Mine is a hassle, I have to drive on one 2X6, then a 2nd 2x6, just to get a jack under it. I jack under the front middle frame support. Usually takes me more time to get it up in the air then it does to do what I need to do.
And this is the only drawback of having staggered wheels/tires. I cant rotate them at all, so it is a smarter choice to do as he did if you plan on driving it as much. I'm trying to keep the miles down, (SOOO hard to do!!), but its all personal choice.
But if I had your matte black XLR, I would...
I can find you part numbers later tonight to help. But, any lower, or for that matter upper grille, will work from 2004-2008. 2009 is a different setup and you must change out the entire bumper to accommodate it. Ebay is a cheap way to find one you need, dealers charge too much IMHO. hope this helps
Gotcha, take your time with it. When I was looking, I almost went with the new Corvette ZR1 wheels, Black would look good with my Xenon blue. But I seen an xlr on cardomain.com with the z06 wheels in chrome. Make sure you throw up some photos when your done though. Good Luck!
Those are nice, but I have to ask. Is it that you havent made up your mind yet? or trying to find something in your price range? I paid around $2200 for mine installed and w/ the old tire pressure sensors re-installed.
yes, nothing was changed from a '05 base to a v-series as far as offsets, clearance, & spacing. Seen it done before, just cant find the picture for you.
