CHROME GRILL FOR SALE
I have a new in box chrome grill with black trim that I purchased from a local Cadillac dealer for sale.
I was going to put it on my 2007 XLR but no longer have a need for it.
$350.00
I know its not a "V" but I am happy with it for that price.
I thought I would share another XLR story with the forum.
As the story goes--The lady's husband died last June.
All her life (title had her birthday as March 1915) she wanted a convertible. So she went to the nearest Cadillac dealer...
every once in a while some one gets lucky.
last month I purchased a "used" 2009 from a dealer with 140 miles on it.
(Cadillac Certified Bumper to Bumper Warranty)
the lady , age 94, actually spoke to her, had no place for groceries-convertible too small for her"
paid lower $60's for it.

its only January and I already have cabin fever...especially since I bought a 2009 XLR a month ago and yet to drive it
just sits in...
Are there any advantages to owning a 2009 as opposed to one of the earlier XLR's.
There are some great deals out there for the 2009's and especially if it is a used one with low miles and even being certified.
actually makes me wonder about the depreciation of these cars.
some new 2009,s are...

Welcome Jester
I myself am new to the forum by only a few weeks.
You are right about the value of the Allante-perfect shape and still only worth around 10,000. trying to find storage garage for it-the XLR will be kicking her out of the garage.

You got me thinking.
Maybe I should post the Service Reps name and phone number and have everyone flood her with calls requesting that GM should step up to the plate!

I can get a good price on a new lock cylinder.
Question: how difficult is it change the cylinder. I would have a local mechanic do it if it wasn't too involved. Do you have to remove the rear bumper cover or can it be accessed from underneath?
