After.spending a few moments with a meter checking contacts and tracimg power I have solved the problem. thankyou Rex the relearn helped solve a lot of the communication errors . The problem was the switch. A corroded wire was the culprit.I asked the tec to do this but he was to busy looking at...
Lordy why didn Ah think a dat. Come on I did clean and.repair all the connectors I am not some idiot anymore than you are the guru of all that is xlr.stop treating.me like an idiot.
Yeah. For years they had an xlr trained tech who knew these cars inside out. Good idea but Chevy never had a folding top so it's not a similar problem. I have taken care of numerous problems from taillight led's to putting the guts from an 09 headlight into an 05 case and lots of mechanical.bits...
Delt with the insane pool for the top components. Had the pump rebuilt by top hydraulics and replaced the top module and exhaust note .odule and cleaned all the nasty corroded plugs. Took it to Cavendar caddy for a module reprogram( suggested here) and after.4.days the tech has had no luck so...
It was someone on this site that said it would not fit. I did use all the 09 parts except the turn indicator lens as it was not accessible without removing the front lens. As far as using the gen 1 ....ya do what you have to. If I had a gen 2 I would not have this problem in the first place...
Sorry ...bought an 09 broken headlight to transplant into my 05 headlight case. No this ism nor a plug and play transfer. A wire was pulled out of the solenoid that operates the hi/ low beam. Found a replacement and with a couple of minor mods it fit. Was not successful in removing the outer...
$20 for 100 leds. Still have 95 lol. Never could get them soldered onto the bus without damaging the led( fried them). Ended up using a strip of led material and overlaying the originals. Worked well and matches the intensity but due to a voltage or current drop it flashes fast like a bulb is...
I am in no way interested in.getting into a sideline fixing head.and.tail lights. I am enjoying my retirement and my cars(13) ramge from 1917.thru 1972 excluding the xlr. Was.succesful in clipping the legs off one of the burned out leds and when new one arrive should be able to solder new ones...
To correct another mistake. The leds, when measured, are 5mm not 3mm. The lens did come off without a hitch and as long as you don't rush and have the proper tools you can be successful. I think anyone with a bit of common sense would know a cracked plastic lens will fall apart. Gm is the evil...
Read the post mickytee lol. Got the lens off without problems. Repaired a small.crack in the lens already. Not a novice here. Got leds coming and will replace all leds. Got the old ones off ...silly way to .ou t them. Will.solder new ones on place when they arrive and report back then
Been working with led's for some time. The lens came off without any drama. Fixing a small crack in the lens while it is off. Will try to.source the leds. Thanks for the replys. Will give an update when thru.
